How to Manage your Facebook and Instagram Posts for Success

This is a service that we offer here at DaltonPlan® for our busy clients. It is important not to give any of your staff free reign over your Digital and Social Media, without being monitored for content quality and posting frequency, especially if they are unqualified to be managing it. They can ruin your brand image in the market place and it could take years to rebuild it.

I know of some companies that have let their Office Manager handle all of their Social Media and have experienced a gradual but significant drop off in Sales due to their brand being associated with posts of low level, poor quality promotional content. That’s why they have come to see me, to get things back on track by posting high quality content, targeted at their customer demographic,  that is regularly monitored for performance.

I seek the wisdom of experts in this field, and one expert told me that the key ratio is to spend a 60/40 split, with 60% of your monthly budget on Content so that you only have to spend 40% on frequency and platform placements for your posts to be more effective.

So, I’ve made a list of tactics that underpin your main strategy of applying differentiation as your main competitor advantage. This means that your brand will stand out from  your competitors enabling you to charge more and make a higher profit at the end of the year.

 1. Create a content calendar: Plan out your posts in advance by creating a content calendar. Include the types of posts you want to share, the frequency of posting, and any important dates or events you want to highlight.

 2. Use scheduling tools: Take advantage of scheduling tools like Facebook Creator Studio or Instagram’s native scheduling feature to plan and schedule your posts in advance. This will save you time and ensure that your posts are published in a timely manner.

 3. Post at optimal times: Determine the best days and times to post on Facebook and Instagram to reach your target audience. Use insights provided by the platforms to see when your followers are most active and adjust your posting schedule accordingly.

 4. Engage with your audience: Be proactive in responding to comments, messages, and mentions on both platforms. I have found that engaging with your audience will help build relationships, increase brand loyalty, and improve the overall performance of your posts.

 5. Utilise hashtags: Use relevant hashtags in your Instagram posts to increase visibility and reach. Research popular hashtags in your industry, or niche, and include them in your posts to attract new followers and engagement.

 6. Monitor and analyse performance: Keep track of how your posts are performing on both Facebook and Instagram. Use insights and analytics provided by the platforms to identify what types of content resonate with your audience and adjust your strategy accordingly.

 7. Experiment with different types of content: Don’t be afraid to try out new types of content, such as video, live streams, or Instagram Stories. Experimenting with different formats can help keep your audience engaged and expand your reach.

 8. Collaborate with influencers: Consider partnering with influencers or other brands to reach a larger audience and increase engagement on your posts. Collaborations can help you tap into new audiences and grow your following on both platforms.
